The macroeconomic agent-based model (MacroABM) developed by IIASA is gaining momentum. Researchers and practitioners working on the model, both from academic and policy institutions, will meet on 18-19 April 2024 in Schloss Laxenburg. This workshop will facilitate exchanges on the model, create a space to get support with practical issues, and share ideas.
The event, co-organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ), the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and IIASA, will showcase a collaborative research project on urban transformation. The project will lay the groundwork for the forthcoming special report on "Climate Change and Cities" which will be a valuable addition to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 7th assessment cycle. SYRR in several EU funded projects is developing guidance for enhanced climate risk assessment as well as for efforts to build climate resilience in Europe.
