BLOOM is an interdisciplinary One Health research project that aims to better understand the impact of conservation- and land use policies on zoonotic disease spillover (particularly Ebola Virus Disease) in Sierra Leone. By analyzing the intersection of land-use systems and policy frameworks, we aim to identify conservation-based strategies that could reduce the risk of future outbreaks. Our research integrates stakeholder dynamics, policy frameworks, and land-use systems to strengthen health and conservation outcomes.
