A SEP Orchestration Working Group has formally commenced under the ICONICS steering committee.

The working group is chaired by Jonathan Moyer, Vanessa Schweizer, and Bas van Ruijven, and currently includes the following members: Marina Andrijevic, Alex de Sherbinin, Kris Ebi, Carole Green, Inga Menke, and Ethan Sullivan. The group operates through bi-weekly meetings to coordinate core activities, communicate with key regional stakeholders, and manage specific tasks related to the scenario evolution process.

Because our current composition is heavily focused on the Global North, we urgently would like to expand the regional representation of this group with at least 5 new members. We invite nominations for scholars who can bring broader global perspectives, and we seek individuals with experience using or researching socioeconomic scenarios (ideally SSPs) who are prepared for a multi-year commitment to this initiative. Selection criteria include regional, disciplinary, career-stage and ideational diversity. Group members should also support the idea that global and/or regional socioeconomic scenario narratives have utility.

By July 31, 2026, please direct all nominations and suggestions to the following web form https://udenver.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_24sHLWV4Vl3TAcm.

Self-nominations are welcome!
