The CCI26 workshop brings together senior leaders from the insurance industry, researchers, actuaries and academic experts to deepen the understanding of how climate change impacts the insurance industry and to foster collaboration at both national and international levels.
The workshop will take place on 2-4 September 2026 in Segovia and Madrid (Spain). The first two days will focus on discussions around climate change and its implications for the insurance sector. The last day of the workshop will conclude with the Climate Change and Insurance Collider: a high-level closing session bringing together industry leaders, researchers, innovators, and students.
A keynote talk will be given on September 2nd, 2026 by Reinhard Mechler, leader of the Systemic Risk and Resilience Research Group (SYRR), who will discuss recent developments in research on climate risk insurance and social protection.
