Scientists from IIASA and the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan will meet to discuss their respective expertise and research interests in energy and climate change. This webinar is part of a series providing opportunities for systems researchers from both organizations to explore common research interests and develop future collaborations.

On 19 November 2020, IIASA researchers from the Energy and Advanced Systems Analysis programs, will exchange experiences and expertise on their energy and climate change research, modeling activities and research interests with a group of their peers from the the Royal Scientific Society (RRS) of Jordan.
IIASA Director General Albert van Jaarsveld, RSS Jordan Vice President for Technology Nabeel Al-Fayoumi and researchers from both organizations will come together with aim of sparking ideas to strengthen the links between the two research communities and identify opportunities for synergistic collaborations.
Discussions, moderated by Iain Stewart, , will be focused on finding common ground for energy and climate modeling research with the intention that future collaborative work between IIASA and the RSS Jordan will be of benefit nationally, regionally, and globally.
This event follows a first webinar including research leaders from both the IIASA Water program and RSS Jordan discussing potential research collaborations in water and water modeling.
