IIASA Director General Albert van Jaarsveld will participate at a Scientific and Technological Community Major Group side event at the High-Level Political Forum 2022 looking at Sustainable Development Goal implementation to date and how science, engineering, technology, and innovation can be leveraged to fast-track progress.

Data on the key drivers of tropical forest loss were collected using the Geo-Wiki platform. The data, collected within a geographical area of 30 degrees North and South of the equator, are openly available and are already being used in different studies.
