The Epistem initiative launches Luma – Land Use Mapping for All at a national workshop in Indonesia on collaborative land use and land cover mapping in Indonesia.
Held under the theme “Data Democratization for Sustainable Landscapes: Mapathon Gotong Royong for Collaborative Land Use and Land Cover Mapping,” the event brings together researchers, government agencies, practitioners, and local communities to discuss accessible spatial data, participatory mapping, and the development of a national mapping network in support of Indonesia’s climate and sustainable landscape goals.
The event is organized within the Epistem initiative, in collaboration with National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Landscape Alliance (CIFOR-ICRAF) Indonesia, and the World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia.
This national workshop introduces Luma - Land Use Mapping for All, a participatory web-based platform designed to support collaborative land use and land cover mapping.
