The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Global Forum 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 5 to 9, 2025, in Rome, Italy. This forum will bring together international experts and stakeholders to discuss advancements in Earth observation technologies and their applications in addressing global challenges.

The Forum serves as a platform for global stakeholders to explore how Earth intelligence can drive informed decision-making across various sectors. Participants will engage in discussions on leveraging Earth observations to address pressing challenges such as climate change, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable urban development. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the GEO Global Forum 2025 aims to harness the power of Earth data to create a more resilient and sustainable future.

Steffen Fritz will represent NODES, IIASA as an official participating organization of GEO, in addition to representing the Open Earth Monitor project, connecting on our various earth observation activities across the globe.
