Through the 50th anniversary of the institute, IIASA also celebrates opportunities to build capacity in systems analysis worldwide. In March, IIASA will host a virtual workshop in collaboration with the Royal Scientific Society of Jordan on using systems analysis to tackle global challenges.
Through its research programs and initiatives, IIASA conducts policy-oriented research into issues that are too large or complex to be solved by a single country or academic discipline. This includes pressing concerns that affect the future of all of humanity, such as climate change, energy security, population aging, and sustainable development.
IIASA experts will offer the Jordan research community a workshop tackling the basic aspects of Systems Analysis, such as systems thinking, building models as well as practical applications and uses of systems analysis to tackle global challenges such as achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
