Nadejda’s talk is dedicated to situational awareness and a value-driven approach in the development of tools that deal with misinformation in social media. Her talk also addresses aspects of misinformation that have a damaging impact on safety culture and how critical infrastructure functions. The discussed tools include: Botometer, Foller.me, TinEye, Insigna, Rbutr, Fakespot, NewsGuard, Greek Hoaxes Detector, DejaVu, and Social Sensor. Furthermore, the results of decision-making experiments are presented to explain how worldviews and values of various stakeholders could be included into further developing these tools.
