This online webinar will highlight how different data providers are supporting availability of in-situ data and addressing selected aspects of data interoperability that are the foundation of the GEO In-Situ Data Strategy.
As part of the GEO Dialogue Series on Data Sharing and Data Management, this online event will cover several topics related to data sharing and data management. It will include an overview of GEO’s in situ implementation strategy and presentations on the role of citizen science in Earth Observation. Linda See will give a short overview of how citizen science is being used to support Earth Observation activities including examples from Geo-Wiki, Picture Pile and the ENFORCE project. This will be followed by other presentations on the sharing of water quality data, interoperability and standards, and perspectives from data providers.
