Biography
Ansa Heyl is the Communications Manager and Deputy Head of Communications and External Relations at IIASA. In this role, she helps to shape and implement the institute’s communication strategy, while managing IIASA communication activities to enhance the institute’s profile in the media and with other stakeholders, improve the understanding of IIASA research, and position the institute as a leader in systems analysis. She collaborates closely with colleagues across the institute to provide scientific writing and editing support to ensure the widest possible dissemination of work done by IIASA researchers.Prior to joining IIASA in January 2018, she worked as Science Writer and Editor at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where she regularly wrote feature articles and press releases on research done at the institution.
