POPJUS EQU Research Group will present the latest results of the NATURANCE project at the 2nd EU4Green Biodiversity Webinar: Biodiversity Monitoring and Nature-based Solutions in practice, organized by Environment Agency Austria.

On Monday, June 10th, EQU researcher Jenan Irshaid will present findings from the Horizon Europe NATURANCE project at 2nd EU4Green Biodiversity Webinar which focuses on Biodiversity Monitoring and Nature-based Solutions in practice. The EU4Green project, which is funded by the EU, the Austrian Development Cooperation and the Environment Agency Austria, aims to support the Western Balkan region in creating concrete plans for and implementing the EU’s Green Agenda. This webinar will focus specifically on biodiversity monitoring, nature-based solutions in practice and, nature-based solutions for floodplains.

Climate-driven drought linked to rising violence among adolescents in Southern Africa

New research from IIASA and the University of Oxford provides the first quantitative evidence that drought exposure over the last 12 months is associated with increased risk of sexual, emotional, and physical violence among adolescents in Southern Africa. This risk rises substantially during cumulative droughts over two years.
