In this meeting we will jointly develop a vision for what a citizen science research infrastructure will look like in the future. This vision will be a core part of the stakeholder engagement workshops to be carried out in the next six months.

Linda See and Dilek Fraisl will attend a vision building workshop as part of the RIECS project. The future infrastructure will be based on a review of existing infrastructures that has taken place during the last six months and the current perceived needs of the citizen science community (including stakeholders that are potential users of citizen science data). The vision will be mapped out through a series of brainstorming exercises. The second day will be focused on the protocols for stakeholder engagement and the development of a schedule for engaging a range of different stakeholders. This will help to fill the gap regarding the needs of the citizen science community and be fed into the vision of the future citizen science infrastructure.
