The University of Salzburg will welcome representatives of IIASA and the Austrian IIASA Committee for a day dedicated to scientific exchange, dialogue, and exploring future opportunities for collaboration with IIASA.

IIASA brings together researchers from different disciplines and countries to address complex global challenges through systems analysis. The Austrian IIASA Committee serves as an important link between IIASA and the Austrian scientific community, supporting exchange, cooperation, and opportunities for researchers at different stages of their careers.

The meeting in Salzburg aims to strengthen these connections and bring IIASA’s research and opportunities closer to the University of Salzburg research community and interested members of the public. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss shared research interests and interdisciplinary collaboration, and to learn more about opportunities to engage with IIASA.

The event is particularly relevant for young researchers. A dedicated session will introduce opportunities at IIASA and provide insights into the Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) from members of the 2026 cohort.

Researchers, faculty members, students, early-career scientists, and interested members of the wider academic community and the general public are warmly invited to attend.

Please note that photographs may be taken throughout the event. These may be used by the organizing institutions in publications, online, and on social media. Please contact the event organizer if you have any concerns or wish to be exempted from this activity.
