The Market Town of Biedermannsdorf is hosting an interactive panel discussion titled, Climate change - threat or promise?
Please note that the panel discussion will be in German
Changing times inevitably brings changes to the way we live our lives, and change is frightening as it is often associated with crises. But crises can represent both an end and a new beginning. What the end, the beginning, and subsequent life will look like depends entirely on us. Do we want to let the future pass us by, or do we want to shape it profitably?
The event will be opened by Vice Mayor Josef Spazierer and the panel will include:
- Kerstin Bär, Climate Alliance Austria
- Federal Councillor Simone Jagl
- Elina Brutschin, researcher in the Transformative Institutional and Social Solutions Research Group of the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program
- Karl Steininger, University of Graz
- Hartmut Dumke, Institute for Spatial Planning at the Vienna University of Technology
The session will be moderated by Environmental Councillor Karl Wagner.
As a welcome gift, guests will receive organic apple juice and apple strudel from the region!
