NatCat 2025 speakers

Reinhard Mechler of SYRR/ASA is invited to a panel on socio-economic and environmental risks for interacting with Greek and other partners from research, policy and practice. He presents novel research on risk management and multi resilience dividend decision-making developed in the DECIPHER project led by the  E3-Modelling group in Athens. He showcases insights and evidence on this decision framework that include but go beyond standardly considered risk reduction benefits to also consider benefits arising from unlocked socio-economic potential where risk is well managed as well as co-benefits, such as from investments into disaster-safe and energy efficient housing and health systems that are climate-proof.
