14 Student Fellowships awarded to students studying at East African Universities.

The INTERVENE Fellowship Program seeks to nurture the next generation of researchers addressing drought resilience challenges in East Africa.

Following a competitive application process, 14 students across the East African Community (EAC) were selected.

The evaluation process was highly competative, with the project recieving over 150 applications!

Students were selected primarily by the quality of their application. Care was taken to have at least one scholarship allocated to each EAC country. Emphasis was also put on allocation a 50%+ of grants to female students - in accordance with the aims of the project.

IIASA provides insights on research, technology, and innovation to Austrian federal states

IIASA contributed to the Austrian Bundesländerdialog — a forum bringing together the federal government, representatives of different states, and other interested institutions to discuss recent developments in research, technology, and innovation. It provided an important platform to increase IIASA’s visibility in the Austrian federal states and strengthen connections with key stakeholders in research and innovation.
