The final LAMASUS conference will showcase the project’s data, modelling tools, scenarios and governance approach for evidence-based EU land-use and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Researchers, stakeholders and European Commission representatives will discuss the project’s legacy and how its outputs can support future policymaking.

How can integrated evidence on agriculture and forestry support the future CAP? This is the subject of the final LAMASUS conference, which will bring together researchers, stakeholders, sister projects and European Commission representatives to present and discuss the project’s main results and their policy relevance.

The program will showcase the LAMASUS Land Use and Management (LUM) Geodatabase, modelling toolbox, scenario explorer and stakeholder governance model. Sessions will examine the data and research underpinning the project, the joint LAMASUS–BrightSpace baseline updated to the 2025 Agricultural Outlook, and alternative scenarios for the CAP. Particular attention will be given to what an integrated agriculture–forestry modelling framework adds to policy analysis.

The event will also feature complementary perspectives from Tools4CAP, Europe-LAND, MOSAIC, BrightSpace and ACT4CAP27. European Commission input, moderated discussions and Q&A sessions will consider how the results can inform CAP design and evaluation, which outputs should be maintained beyond the project, and how future projects and modelling infrastructure can build on the LAMASUS legacy.

The day will conclude with a panel on the lasting contribution of LAMASUS and the value and limits of integrated modelling for policymaking.
