Researchers, policymakers, and rural stakeholders will gather in Brussels on 24–25 June 2026 to discuss the future of rural development and innovation.
The GRANULAR and RUSTIK projects have announced their joint Final Conference, taking place on 24–25 June 2026 at Fondation Universitaire in Brussels, Belgium. The two-day event will bring together project partners, policymakers, practitioners, and rural stakeholders to present key project results and exchange views on future directions for rural development and innovation.
The conference will open on 24 June (13:30–18:00) with presentations of the main research findings and outputs from both projects, complemented by local perspectives and contributions from external speakers. The first day will conclude with a networking reception.
On 25 June (09:00–14:00), discussions will focus on the future of rural policies and practical experiences demonstrating the impact of the GRANULAR and RUSTIK projects. The event will close with a networking lunch, providing further opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), through its Novel Data Ecosystems for Sustainability (NODES) Research Group, is a key partner in the GRANULAR project and is also part of the organisation.
