This panel discussion on sustainability communication will be hosted by Karlshochschule International University and will bring together two world class experts to discuss the current state of climate change communication, share their experience, and draw on solutions available to us.
Panelists:
Leila Niamir, a computational economist working on energy and climate change mitigation. Her research focus is on the science-policy-society interface, agent-based modeling, behavioral and lifestyle changes, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and wellbeing. She is a coauthor of several reports, including the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Alaina Wood, one of the most influential sustainability scientist and climate communicators, whose public communication around sustainability can be followed on TikTok (Good Climate News) and as part of the EcoTok collective. Wood is a sustainability scientist and has helped people understand the science behind climate change and manage their climate anxiety through her platform, The Garbage Queen.
The panel is co-moderated and co-organized by students of Karlshochschule, with words of welcome by president of Karlshochschule, Robert Lepenies.
