Your application should include:
- A letter stating your motivation to participate in this program, including your prior experience with systems models, how the course fits into you current/upcoming studies, as well as your plans to use models in your future research (1 page maximum)
- A concise CV that reflects the applicant’s education and relevant experience (2 page maximum)
- If applicable, a statement that you would like to be considered for a waiver of the registration fee and why.
An international selection committee will review all applications. Criteria include the above requirements, motivation, as well as the potential benefit to the applicant. Successful candidates will be notified by 03 May 2024, the summer school will take place 15-26 July 2024. The number of participants is limited to 30.
Requirements
The participants should have quantitative skills including some knowledge of R, Python or any other scientific programming environment (in the latter case, there is no guarantee that trainers of this school can offer guidance).
Course Fee
The course fee is EUR 1300. This covers all training activities, wifi-connection, lunches and coffee breaks, and two social dinners. The fee does NOT cover travel and transportation, accommodation, other dinners or fees related to visa applications.
Subject to budget availability, the school will grant up to 3 fee waivers to support the attendance of Master and PhD students from developing countries or from IIASA NMO countries.
