The International Committee on New Integrated Climate Change Assessment Scenarios (ICONICS) continues its series of webinars to discuss recent work on the Climate Change Scenarios Framework.
ICONICS develops, facilitates, and promotes the use of socioeconomic development pathways to support interdisciplinary research and assessment of climate change-related risks, and to support exploration of the effectiveness of adaptation and mitigation policies and actions across spatial and temporal scales to reduce those risks within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
ICONICS is continuing its series of webinars to discuss recent work on the Climate Change Scenarios Framework. The next webinar will take place Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 15:00 CEST/ 09:00 EDT. During this webinar presenters will dive deep into “Producing a broader range of reference scenarios that include impacts and policy.”
Tim Carter, Research Professor at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) will introduce the topic, followed by Elmar Kriegler, Head of the Research Department "Transformation Pathways" at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact research (PIK) and Franziska Piontek, Senior Scientist at PIK, will expand on examples, caveats, and advantages of integrated impacts and policy scenarios.
