The 42nd Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-42) will take place from 5 to 8 October 2015 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Among other business, the group will elect a new chair, vice chairs, working group and task force bureau co-chairs, and working group vice-chairs. IIASA Deputy Director Nebojsa Nakicenovic is one of the candidates for IPCC chair, having been jointly nominated by Austria and Montenegro.

The IPCC plays a critical role in providing the best scientific knowledge on climate change through a unique process that includes 195 governments, which is reflected in the nomination of six excellent candidates, three from countries with membership in IIASA.
IIASA and the IPCC
