Biography
Silvia Artuso joined IIASA in April 2022 and is a researcher in the Water Security Group of the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Program.
She is currently working on stakeholder engagement and hydrological-biodiversity models coupling for the SOS-Water project, which aims to create a Safe Operating Space (SOS) for water. She is also collaborating on Community Water Model (CWatM) – Plant Functional Acclimation and Trait Evolution (Plant-FATE) coupling as part of the RESIST project.
Previously, she worked in the Sustainable Service Systems Research Group of the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program and on the Energy Demand changes Induced by Technological and Social innovations (EDITS) initiative.
Furthermore, she is finishing a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Salzburg, Austria, and holds an MSc in Natural Sciences from the University of Padua, Italy.
