The 39th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE’39) is one of the longest-standing conferences of its kind. This year the focus of ISRSE’39 is sustainability with the theme ‘From Human needs to SDGs’. ISRSE’30 brings together public and private section organizations with scientists in the field of Earth observation, information services and environmental applications, with a strong emphasis on practical solutions and societal outcomes at all scales from local to global.

Linda See, a senior researcher in the Novel Data Ecosystems for Sustainability Research Group (NODES) at IIASA, will be presenting the latest developments related to the Picture Pile Platform (PPP), in particular, how this tool can be utilized to support the monitoring of the SDGs. In addition to networking with an international crowd, the purpose of the presentation is to raise aware of PPP and to find potential collaborators with use cases that need imagery sorted and classified. PPP is one of many citizen science tools that have been developed in NODES and contribute to IIASA’s work on citizen science.
