Biannually, the National Research Foundation of Korea provides funding for up to 24 months. The next call will open in 2021.
Candidates have to apply to both NRF (on the NRF website) and IIASA .
The IIASA application procedure consists of two parts:
1. Completion of an online application form.
2. Candidates are required to submit a research proposal, which will form the basis for a co-designed research agenda that couples their own interests with the IIASA research agenda.

This is vital to discuss research ideas and their relevance to IIASA and to ensure realistic research plans and expectations on the part of both IIASA and the applicant.
