Biography

Stefanie Andruchowitz is a project officer in the Multidimensional Demographic Modeling Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies Program. In this role, she is responsible for the scientific administration and management of research projects, including coordinating publications, editorial work, events, funding activities, outreach, and the management of externally funded initiatives.

She brings several years of professional experience across international scientific, development, and corporate organizations in Austria and abroad, including work in developing countries. In her previous roles, she managed and coordinated projects and programs dedicated to education, sustainable development, interreligious dialogue, women’s rights and health, capacity building, and support for minority groups. She first joined IIASA in 2012 and recently returned to the Institute to take up her current role after a four year absence working as a freelance consultant on outreach projects for various international organizations.

She holds master’s degrees in political science and in development studies from the University of Vienna.
