Biography
Roja Ganji joined IIASA in 2024 as a research assistant in the Pollution Management Research Group of the Energy, Climate, and Environment Program. As part of her duties, she works with the GAINS model focusing on non-CO2 greenhouse gases and assists in developing projections for the EU reference scenarios.Ganji holds a bachelor’s degree in forestry engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering and pollution management. She recently earned a second master’s degree in environmental engineering and water management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna.
Before joining IIASA, Ganji worked as a sustainability assistant at Schindler Fahrtreppen International GmbH in Vienna, where she supported the ISO 14025 certification process and the preparation of Environmental Product Declarations. She also has work experience in groundwater flow analysis, urban wastewater treatment, and forest management.
