Biography
Richard Cornford is a research scholar in the Biodiversity, Ecology, and Conservation Research Group of the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Program. He is currently working to evaluate the impacts that alternative future land-use scenarios could have on European biodiversity via ecological modeling using a PREDICTS-style framework .
Cornford completed his PhD at Imperial College London (co-hosted at the Zoological Society of London and the Natural History Museum), where he used quantitative approaches (including text-analysis) to better collate and synthesize global biodiversity data and improve our understanding of ecological responses (primarily vertebrate population trends) to human activity.
