Biography
Kyuil Kwak (Roger) is a researcher in the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program. He is currently completing his PhD at the Graduate School of Energy and Environment of Korea University. His research focuses on energy system modeling and optimization for carbon-neutral transitions.He is the lead developer of PyPSA-Korea, an open-source energy system model for Korea. At IIASA, he is working on linking the MESSAGEix and PyPSA frameworks to enhance long-term energy planning and behavioral science approaches. He is keen to explore collaboration opportunities with fellow researchers on energy and environmental policy challenges.
