Biography
Jonas Peisker is a research scholar at the Equity and Justice Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies Program. In his current research, he empirically investigates the relationships between climate impacts and population outcomes, such as environmental attitudes, voting behavior, and migration in order to help address the barriers to both climate change mitigation and adaptation.He holds a master’s degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy and a doctorate in economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. In his doctoral thesis on contextual determinants of climate change concern in Europe, he studied the impact of socio-economic and environmental factors on popular support for environmental policy.
