Biography
Jesus Crespo Cuaresma holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Vienna, as well as a second doctorate (Habilitation) in economics from the same University. He is an associate professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Vienna and a scientific advisor to the Osterreichische Nationalbank. He is working on applied macroeconometrics, economic growth, forecasting, business cycle research, and monetary and fiscal policy. He has published numerous articles on such issues in refereed scientific journals and books.Dr. Crespo Cuaresma joined the World Population Program in October 2006 to work on a new project on Human Capital and Economic Growth.
