Biography
Inge Spiegeler is a researcher in the Multidimensional Demographic Modeling Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies Program. Her work includes exploring the impact of migration on population dynamics in Austria as part of the Horizon PREMIUM-EU project, contributing to the Population Situation Analysis for Mozambique in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and working on a global database on literacy skills under the Link4Skills project.She completed her master's degree in Global Demography at the University of Vienna, Austria. Previously, she gained experience at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in Germany, where she focused on legal migration and EU directives. During that time, she led an IT project on the digitalization of intra-EU mobility processes. She also completed a Carlo Schmid Fellowship at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C., where she supported the German Director in the Office of the Executive Director.
Spiegeler holds a bachelor's degree in Political Management from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Germany, and completed an exchange semester at The Indian Institutes of Technology Madras in Chennai, India.
