Biography
Hossein Hassani is a researcher in the Cooperation and Transformative Governance Research Group of the IIASA Advancing Systems Analysis Program. He is a highly accomplished and skilled data scientist, academic, and researcher with over 15 years of extensive experience working with national, international, and multicultural organizations, research institutes, and academia. He has held a variety of leadership positions, including a Statistical Systems Coordinator position at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). He has also worked with renowned organizations such as the United Nations.Hassani is highly-ranked with several national and international awards. He is one of the world's top 1% scientists from a range of academic backgrounds, as indicated by the official 2022 Elsevier and Stanford University ranking. His expertise is evident in his significant contributions to research, as demonstrated by his publication of more than 200 high-quality journal papers in various disciplines. He has an i10-index of over 100, an H-index of over 40, and is in the top 98% on ResearchGate.
He has an excellent track record in attracting research funding, both national and international, as the lead applicant. His research output, findings, and presentations have been useful for policy and decision makers.
