Biography

Eunbeen Park is a research scholar in the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Program. She joined the Agriculture, Forestry, and Ecosystem Services (AFE) Research Group through the 2021 Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP). Following her participation in YSSP, she was awarded the NRF–IIASA Postdoctoral Fellowship, funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), for a two-year term.

Her research focuses on spatiotemporal modeling of climate-driven disasters, with particular emphasis on wildfire dynamics and ecosystem impacts. She is a core contributor to the development and application of the Wildfire Climate Impacts and Adaptation Model (FLAM) and the AFE Integrated Modeling (AFEIM) framework, including their integration with the Global Forest Model (G4M) across global, European, and South Korean case studies.

She received her PhD in environmental planning and landscape architecture from the Department of Environmental Science and Ecological Engineering at Korea University.
