Biography
Daniel Torren Peraire is a research scholar in the Sustainable Service Systems Research Group of the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program. As part of the Urban Futures Hub, his work focuses on the development and expansion of the BENCH_x_ABM (The Behavioral change in Energy Consumption of Households Agent-Based Model).Before joining IIASA, he was a PhD student and researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain and Ca'Foscari University of Venice in Italy. His doctoral research developed agent-based models of a technological, social, and cultural transition toward a low-carbon economy.
