Biography
Dahlia Domian is the Program and Project Officer and Finance Coordinator of the IIASA Advancing Systems Analysis Program. She manages the finances of the program as well as those of the Novel Data Ecosystems for Sustainability, and Exploratory Modeling of Human-natural Systems research groups, including internal and external sources of funding. She also develops more efficient operational processes. Prior to taking up this position, she worked in the former Ecosystems Services and Management program as a Group and Project Officer and as the Project Manager for the H2020 WeObserve project.Before joining IIASA, Domian was a consultant for Bankable Frontier Associates, a US-based consultancy focused on financial inclusion, where she helped develop, implement, and supervise a national survey on access to financial services among low-income households in Brazil. As part of her master’s project, she researched the feasibility of implementing mobile phones for information transfer among small-holder farmers in Mozambique. She also worked at CMPartners, a US-based conflict management consultancy, where she managed program and financial processes and helped develop teaching tools.
Domian was a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil. She holds an MA in international affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
