Biography
Claudia Reiter joined the Social Cohesion, Health, and Wellbeing (SHAW) Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies (POPJUS) Program as a research scholar in September 2022. She completed her doctoral studies in Demography at the Vienna Doctoral School of Social Sciences and her master's degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her main research focus is demography of education and skills, measures of (skills-adjusted) human capital, as well as demographic aspects related to wellbeing and sustainable development. She is also interested in the interrelation between environmental change and population dynamics.Before joining IIASA, she was a research assistant at the Department of Demography at the University of Vienna, where she still holds a position and teaches several courses in the Global Demography master's program. Before that, she also worked at the Vienna Institute of Demography of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
