Two fourth grade classes accompanied by their teachers visited IIASA. Brian Fath and Zuelclady Araujo Guitierrez addressed the issue of systems thinking through a discussion on the life cycle analysis of a bar of chocolate.
This visit marked the second of many more to come in 2024. Systems thinking is crucial for tackling global issues. Encouraging students to think about the complexity of the natural and social world they live in is one of the key objectives of the IIASA School Visits Initiative.
