Nadejda Komendantova from the Advanced Systems Analysis program is invited to speak at the The International Urban Forum "Territory of the Future. View from the Heart of Eurasia" and gives a talk on "Monocities: challenges and models of socio-economic development and financing". Her experience was gained by analysing regional strategies of regional development of the Austrian Climate and Energy Model regions as well as from the team work (with Elena Rovenskaya, Nikita Strelkovskii and Love Ekenberg) in preparation of  the Strategy of Sustainable Industrial Development for Kyrgyzstan.

The International Urban Forum "Territory of the Future. View from the Heart of Eurasia" aims at discussing strategies of urban development and action plans for their implementation. It is co-organised by the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Moscow Center of Urbanism. The forum reflects on the achievements of Bashkortostan, and presents the experience and expertise of the most effective projects for the improvement and development of cities throughout Russia, as well as advanced international cases.
