Biography

Inge Spiegeler is a guest research assistant in the Multidimensional Demographic Modeling Research Group of the IIASA Population and Just Societies Program. The primary focus of her work is exploring the impact of migration on population dynamics in Austria as part of the PREMIUM-EU project.

She is currently completing a master's degree in Global Demography at the University of Vienna. Previously, she gained 4,5 years of experience at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in Germany, where she focused on legal migration and EU directives. During that time, she led an IT project on the digitalization of intra-EU mobility processes. She also completed a Carlo Schmid Fellowship at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C., where she supported the German Director in the Office of the Executive Director.

Spiegeler holds a bachelor's degree in Political Management from the University of Applied Sciences Bremen, Germany, and completed an exchange semester at The Indian Institutes of Technology Madras in Chennai, India.
