Biography

Fei Guo is a Guest Senior Research Scholar with the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program and a Professor at the Institute of Blue and Green Development (IBGD) of Shandong University, Weihai, China.

His main research interests include climate change mitigation, energy transition, energy efficiency potential analysis, energy policy assessment, and building energy use modeling. Currently, he is developing a China regional integrated assessment model (IAM) based on the IIASA MESSAGEix framework, and a simulation model for energy use in China’s building sector.

He received his PhD in energy and environmental policy from the University of Delaware in the US, and his master’s degree in building science from Tsinghua University, China. Prior to joining IIASA, he worked as a researcher at the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), Japan, and as a senior engineer at the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD), China.
