The high and selective mortality imposed by fisheries has been shown to cause evolutionary changes in the fish stock which may be detrimental to the future of the fishery. Moreover, there may be effects on other fish species, for instance on the natural competitors of the harvested species. I present a model to investigate their coevolutionary dynamics in a community of two competing fish species in response to fishing.
