Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM) under the LRTAP Convention

The Task Force’s main focus is to combine information produced by the various scientific working groups of the LRTAP Convention and through computer models assist in the development of legal instruments

The Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM) was established by the Executive Body of the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution at its fourth session in 1986. In the following years integrated assessment models were developed that provided the basis for negotiation of the 1994 Oslo Protocol and the Gothenburg Protocol in 1999. The Task Force is co-chaired by the Netherlands and Sweden.

The Task Force’s main focus is to combine information gathered from the Parties and from other Convention bodies and through computer models assist in the development of legal instruments (protocols).
