Organized by the European Commission Joint Research Centre's Institute for Energy and Transport, the workshop aims to bring together policy makers, academics, energy company representatives and other key stakeholders from the region in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas, methodologies and know-how regarding energy system development in South Eastern Europe.

Nadejda Komendantova's session will focus on the impacts of risk perception on localised costs of electricity (LCOE), and the weighted average costs of capital (WACC) needed for the deployment of renewable energy sources (e.g. photovoltaics and concentrated solar power). She will also speak to the potential impacts of implementing a financial de-risking strategy on LCOE and WACC.

The workshop is an all-day event and takes place on 15 December 2015 at the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna.
