He is working on the understanding of size structured food webs and the influence of harvesting on such systems.

Dr. Loeuille was originally trained as a geophysicist. He received his master's degree in ecology in 2000 and a PhD in theoretical ecology in 2004. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas (Austin) until July 2006. He is interested in understanding the role of evolution of species in the emergence of ecological properties of communities at different spatial scales.
