Nakicenovic speaks at Austrian Science Day
Nakicenovic will speak about "The energy revolution as a challenge for science and technology," focusing on the recent "Energiewende" that has been taking place in Germany and Austria. The Energiewende has caught worldwide attention as a unique policy effort to encourage a transformation towards renewable energy. Nakicenovic has served as a science advisor to the German government as part of the WBGU, providing his expertise on energy to policymakers in the country.
