A new research project aims to develop systems tools for decision makers for the problems that are very complex and wicked by their nature

Aalto School of Science, Aalto Business school and IIASA have started a collaborative research project on integration of qualitative and quantitative systems analysis methods.

The pilot project has been conducted with the Prime Minister’s Office of Finland. The
exploratory project had its first scientific workshop on 2 October at IIASA. Three teams of researchers presented their independent methodological approaches and discussed about the lines of the further development.

It is essential to develop systems tools for decision makers even for the problems that are very complex and wicked by their nature- claims ASA Program Director Elena Rovenskaya.
