Six IIASA researchers are lead authors on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) AR5 Working Group III report, which focuses on mitigation of climate change. Four of those researchers are part of the IIASA Energy Program, which examines scenarios for the future of the energy system. Additionally, World Population Program leader Wolfgang Lutz is a lead author, and Transitions to New Technologies program leader Arnulf Gruebler is a review editor on the report.

During the meeting, the authors will review the comments received from governments and experts during a review period that lasted from 25 February to 22 April 2013.
